Browser tasks.

Ask Noema to compare information, follow links or fill a draft on websites you permit. The task starts in your normal conversation. Progress, questions, approvals and the result stay there too.

Browser tasks use the optional Noema extension on desktop Chromium browsers with side-panel support. They use cloud AI and your Noema credits. Your Browser AI, local models and ordinary chat do not require this extension. Browser automation is not available in Safari, Firefox or mobile browsers.

Install

1. Download Noema Browser 0.1.0 and extract it into a folder you will keep.
2. Open your browser's Extensions page. Turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
3. Open a website you want Noema to work on. Open Noema from the extension menu, choose Allow this site, and review the browser's permission request.
4. Open Noema, select Noema Router, and open Browser tasks beside the prompt input. Connect and verify your wallet if needed.
5. Choose a model and session spending limit. Connect, select a permitted starting tab, then choose Use browser for next message.

The download includes editable extension source, its license and third-party notices. It is a manual installation, not a browser-store listing. Download checksum.

Give it a task

Be specific about the result and any actions it should leave to you. For example:

Compare the plans on this page. Find the cheapest plan for five people, open its support link and draft a question asking whether annual billing is available. Do not send it.

Noema can read permitted pages, follow links, click controls and type. If a destination has not been permitted, grant access there before starting again. Pages must be available in the same browser window as your Noema conversation.

Approvals and spending

• Allow once: approve the displayed action.
• Allow for session: permit the displayed site and action category until the session ends. Clicks, submissions and protected values still need fresh review.
• Approve for me: automatically approve verified read-only searches. Other actions still ask you.

Sessions last up to 15 minutes and have a limit between $0.01 and $10. You pay for model requests used during the task, including work completed before you stop it. A session limit is a maximum, not a fixed fee. Usage records use your existing Noema balance.

Choose Stop in the conversation to interrupt a task. Disconnect from Browser tasks or the extension to end access. Removing a site's permission prevents further access to it. A restart, update or interrupted connection never silently replays a task. Check the page before giving a new instruction.

Data and permissions

Detected sensitive text is protected before cloud requests. You can mark additional values before connecting. Restoring a protected value into a website requires your review. Detection has limits; it cannot guarantee that every private detail is recognized.

Only the task message and permitted page context are used for the browser task. Your other conversations and attached files are not automatically included. Conversations and results remain in the workspace's local browser storage. The extension clears its temporary task state after completion or disconnection. Credit accounting remains wallet-linked.

The browser requests access to permitted sites, tabs and its page-control interface so Noema can read and act on the selected page. The browser may show a debugging notice while controlling that page. This does not grant control of your operating system. Screenshots, file uploads, arbitrary code execution and wallet transaction signing are not supported.

Update or remove

Stop and disconnect first. Replace the extracted folder with the new package, click Reload on Noema's extension card, and refresh the Noema app. Review any new browser permission request. To uninstall, remove Noema on the Extensions page. Your saved conversations remain in your workspace until you delete them there.

If the app cannot detect the extension, check that it is enabled, refresh Noema, then choose Check extension. If no tabs appear, permit the site and choose Refresh tabs. After an interruption, start a new task only after checking what already happened on the page.
