Keep the context you want.
History and memory serve different purposes. History keeps a conversation. Optional memory keeps useful facts that can inform later work.
Chat history
Saved chats and attachments stay in this browser. Returning to a conversation restores its local context. They do not automatically appear on another device or in another browser.
Clearing site data can remove local conversations and files. Browser storage is not a cloud backup.
Optional memory
Use the memory setting when you want relevant saved facts to be available to later requests. Review and delete facts you no longer want kept.
Turning memory off stops using that feature for new work; it does not mean every previously saved record has been deleted. Use the data controls when you intend to remove records.
If saved context is included in a cloud request, it becomes part of what that request shares. ZKR and review remain useful controls.
Temporary chats
Turn on Temporary chat for work that should remain in the current tab instead of saved history. It does not use persistent memory. Download anything you want to keep before leaving the temporary session. Temporary mode does not change cloud processing, model retention or wallet billing.
Local deletion and external records
Deleting local history does not erase a request already processed remotely, wallet billing records or public blockchain activity.
