A more private path.
Onion routing is planned for the wider Noema Network. Its purpose is to reduce how much of a request’s path a single participant can observe.
Why the path matters
Protecting the contents of a request does not remove every network signal. Addresses, timing and connections can still reveal information about activity.
A layered route is intended to separate what different participants can see. It does not make every form of correlation impossible.
Where it fits
The first confidential service includes a relay. Wider onion transport follows as part of expanding the Network. A first relay should not be presented as a completed onion network.
Current browser-local execution and cloud Router requests do not use this planned Network transport.
