Conversations that go somewhere.
Ask for a result, then refine it. A good conversation can move from a rough idea to a clear draft, analysis or piece of code.
Start and continue
Use New chat for a separate task. Continue an existing chat when the previous context is useful. A fresh conversation can help when the model is following an earlier direction you no longer want.
Name the result you need, the relevant facts and any constraints. If the response misses the point, identify what should change instead of repeating the entire prompt.
Stop and retry
Use Stop while a reply is being generated. Noema keeps the partial answer when available. You can adjust the request and send again.
Retrying a cloud request is a new attempt and can use credits. Check the resulting usage record rather than assuming every interrupted or failed request has the same outcome.
Choose a different model
Model capabilities and context limits differ. Check the route and selected model before sending files or a longer prompt. A smaller browser model may be useful for short tasks but struggle with complex instructions.
Projects and reusable prompts
Use Projects to organise related conversations and give them shared instructions and files. Open a project, add instructions or files, review extracted text where needed, select the files to use and save. New replies in that project use the selected context. Other chats are not automatically included.
The composer lets you inspect the project context before sending. The line below a reply identifies the context used. Longer files contribute relevant excerpts rather than their entire contents. Temporary chats leave project context out, and project chats keep global memory separate.
Original project files stay in this browser. Local models use that context locally; cloud models receive the selected text, with detected sensitive values masked when ZKR is enabled. Use Settings → Data to back up the workspace, including project files and instructions.
Save instructions you use often in Prompts and reuse them for a new task. Optional Memories are a separate way to keep useful facts for later requests. Review saved context before using it in cloud work.
Search the web
Turn on Web search in the composer for a question that needs current information. On smaller screens, open the composer settings. Expand the sources in the reply to inspect their links. Search is optional and availability is limited; a search status beside the reply tells you whether sources were returned.
Search sends a query online even when the answer is generated by a local model. ZKR masks detected sensitive values in that query when enabled. Shared project file contents are not automatically sent as search queries. Restrictive execution privacy policies block web search.
Saved history
Conversations are stored in this browser. Search or return to a saved chat to continue. Deleting a chat removes its local records; it does not erase any processing already performed by external services.
